We are glad you stopped by for a visit!!
The First Presbyterian Church is the oldest Presbyterian church in the Swannanoa Valley. Founded in 1794, it has served Christ through much of our nation's history.
Our congregation is small but on fire with the Love of Christ, as we seek to serve and convey that love to the residents of the valley and beyond. Stop by for a visit. Come worship with us. Come share with us the joy and richness of all that a life in Christ has to offer.
We have a relatively traditional worship style. Child care is available, and we have Sunday School classes for all ages.

January 12 - Presbyterian Women Circle to meet at home of Betty Maxwell, 10:00 a.m.
January 18
The Trinity Presbyterian Youth Group, from Raleigh, will conduct our worship service. They will serve as the choir, lead prayers, preach, take up the offering, and even bring their own instruments! We will provide lunch for them and for our regular Fellowship Meal. Menu: pizza and spaghetti to be provided. Volunteers are asked to sign up today to bring bread, garden salad, desserts and drinks. There is a list in the narthex.
Next Sunday is also the time when we bring canned goods for SVCM.

Nickel-a-Meal Offering
On Sunday, January 25th, the Session has called the Annual Meeting of the Congregation to be held. Following a brief worship service, yearly reports will be made, the budget for 2009 presented, and an update given on the search for a new pastor. It will also be a time for questions and other information to be shared. Please make every effort to be present.
